The rich basic colour of walnut provides a discreet and elegant look - the decisive factor for the colour of the wood here is above all the location of the tree. This can therefore vary slightly. The dark brown wood with its fine grain is considered durable and of high quality.
The different assortments of the noble wood offer versatile application possibilities: From the simple, noble Premium assortment with a homogeneous grain to the exciting Satin - a real eye-catcher.

A GOOD PLACE
1. ABOUT WALNUT WOOD
Walnut has a noble, valuable wood that captivates with a beautiful, rich colour tone. The partly black-brown wood with its cloudy structures has a discreet but exciting grain. Depending on the location of the tree, the colouring of the wood turns out differently. For our solid wood tables and table tops, we use American walnut, which is also known as black walnut.
Compared to the European walnut, the American variety is darker in the heartwood and has a somewhat more homogeneous grain. A beautiful structural feature of walnut is the light, yellowish sapwood, which creates a surface full of character.
Qualitatively, there is no difference between the assortments. The choice is therefore purely an aesthetic one.
2. WALNUT PREMIUM
For the premium grading, the light sapwood surrounding the dark core of the tree trunk is removed. Knots and cracks are also sorted out as far as possible. This leaves only a selection of the finest, dark heartwood.
The surface of a table top in premium walnut appears rather dark and homogeneous, the deep grain provides a noble look.
3. WALNUT KNOT
In the walnut knot wood assortment, natural features such as knotholes are also processed in the tabletop. This creates a uniformly dark wood surface with beautiful, expressive grain.
The lighter sapwood part is not processed, the table top gets a rather dark look in the overall picture. Knotholes and cracks are always filled with black wax putty.
4. WALNUT KNOT WITH SAPWOOD
In the walnut knot with sapwood assortment, we process the lighter sapwood in the tabletop in addition to the knotholes that give it character. The result is a dark wood pattern interspersed with light structures.
The contrast gives the table top an expressive look and gives it a lively appearance. Knotholes and cracks are always filled with black wax putty.
5. SATIN WALNUT
Also known as French walnut, this wood captivates with its contrasting, lively structure. The high proportion of light sapwood and the dark base in a classic brown tone create a heterogeneous surface, which is also complemented by a slightly reddish shimmer.
This elegant wood assortment catches the eye. On the one hand, the exciting grain can serve as an eye-catcher and stand-out feature in a reduced Bauhaus-style interior. But also in a natural environment, in combination with green and brown tones, this wood blends in perfectly.
